New Painting

I have been relaxing into doing some new paintings recently, being lead by my own inspirations, applying paint to the canvas and seeing what happens next.

This painting is not finished so I’ll just show you sections 🙂  As you can see there is collage and drawing involved as well. Those of you who were following my still life progress, don’t worry, it is still on the easel! 🙂

Lampshade Commission

I recently up-cycled this lampshade for our living room and shared with my friends and followers on Facebook.lamp-shade-2It has resulted in me getting a commission for a Lampshade of a specified design which I realised just in time that I’d better not say any more in case they read this post!!! 😛

The Green Cockatoo

I’m just loving collage at the moment so here’s another for you to see.

‘The Green Cockatoo’Green Cockatoo
This collage was built on an old water colour that I got with a few others in a job lot at a church sale (I have left the original signature and just added mine). It adds to the surreal nature when magazine cuttings etc are applied. I’m really happy with this 🙂
