I spent yesterday designing this years Christmas card. Yes I know it’s early, but if I don’t do it now I’d get to the beginning of December and would be struggling for inspiration even perhaps motivation in the business of the time of year!
I am really pleased with it and look forward to having it on sale 🙂
As you can see, this particular painting is painted in a very different style to my other work. I had a specific idea in my head that I wanted to produce a Christmas icon. The image was in my head that I wanted so I just went with the flow!! I also painted it on unprimed canvas, which was lovely and I think added to the look of the finished piece.
I will be selling Christmas cards portraying this image this coming Saturday 9th December (2017) at Fakenham Makers Market.
I have had the pleasure to be asked to do a drawing of the nativity to go on the front of the December issue of our church magazine. I am always nervous when I get specific commission especially because of the subject, I didn’t want it to turn out too sweet. I am actually pleased with the result and have used the image for a Christmas card. You can buy the cards from my Etsy Shop! 🙂
I love this time of year. It’s a chance to add glitter to my already colourful existence! I’ve been enjoying making Christmas wrap and cards with the knowledge of what I don’t sell I can use myself! 🙂 The wrap below has just gone onto my Etsy shop. These prints were for some glittery reindeer cards.
I especially love these blue moose cards that I’ve done! 🙂
I’m super pleased with my display in the Norwich Gift Emporium which I set up yesterday. I’m really happy to take advantage of this opportunity in the run up to Christmas. It’s in a prime position in the city, so lots of opportunity for me to spend money too! I’ll let you know how I get on 🙂
Special order napkins in a bag. Block printed vintage fabric, eco dyed with crocus petals. These have now been collected and on their way to a new home!Sometimes I’m sorry to see thing go ’cause I like them so much 🙂
