Well, I think all of us are trying to get our heads round our new situations and figuring out a new routine for the next few months. One of the things I’ve been doing is exploring more of what art I can produce on my tablet. I have found a new setting on one of my drawing apps that allows me to do repeat pattern. As many of you know, that is one of my loves. Not only have I discovered how, I’ve also discovered I’m quite good at it! 🙂 so straight out of the window go my doubts about using my tablet and addiction is the name of the game. I absolutely love my new found medium.
Keep a look out for a range of cards made with these images (and more) soon to be added to my online shop
If you do paint, enjoy building up layers. I have been learning this for a while. Things don’t always work straight away with art, paint over stuff you don’t like and highlight things you do like, use materials you are not used to and be prepared to gamble. Carry on building up until you have achieved all you can.
Untitled – Yellow & brown – Acrylic, collage and graphite
As you may know I had a studio warming on Saturday to celebrate improvements to my studio. I didn’t take any photo’s as I was too busy enjoying it and talking to the many people who came. I did however get as many people as wanted to, to contribute to a piece of art to commemorate the occasion, big people and little people, and this was the result.
I had to do a bit of cutting and sticking to get it to fit in a frame that I had
and here it is finished and hanging on my studio wall. 🙂
Painted on recycled paper.
Wow what a big upheaval, 6 weeks of changing my studio, I’ve allowed myself in to work at last! I wanted things to be finished before I moved back in. Saying that, there is still a few things I’d like to give attention but they are not obstructive.
I uncovered some old textile work in the big sort out and thought I might be able to use it for a call to artists I’m considering.
Adding some more colour to it on my table and considering adding organic Items.
The decision to turn it into an artists book was suggested to me and I liked that idea. 🙂
Keep watching to see how it takes shape!
I am part of an art circle doing this project by Susannah Elizabeth Susannahgram

Second plaster/gesso experiment using one of my own lino blocks.
Discovered that it’s quite hard to get the impressions level, but I like the result.
Just got to think about colour now! 🙂
First painting in ‘Growth’ series finished.
