Art House Textiles Launch

Wow, I never would have believed it. Saturday was fantastic. I had a great time chatting to people who came to my open studio to see my new range of textiles. If you missed the event, I always welcome visitors so come on over. I made quite a few sales and got lots of positive feed back for my work. I’m very excited and have beet tops in a pan as I speak and I’m looking forward to seeing what colour dye I can get from them.

Here’s an over view of the day for those who didn’t make it.

Fossil Art Project

I’m absolutely delighted that today I’ve had a chance to do some more work on my Fossils art project. I’ve had so many other commitments that it had been pushed way down the list of things to do.

I’ve been adding transfer prints along side my other prints and embellishing them with tapestry thread. The transfer comes out quite shiney, so I’ve been using some sandpaper to get the effect I want before adding the thread.Fossils 1Fossils 2Fossils 3Fossils 4I am actually very pleased with how this piece of work is going. There are nine different sections being worked on individually and I’m looking forward to doing more work on it 🙂
