Turn the page

On our day off yesterday we went to Norwich and visited the the ‘Turn the Page‘ artists book fair. It was really good and very inspiring and there was lot’s I liked and wanted to buy.  I ended up buying these two journal type books by Theresa Easton. I absolutely love her work and remember seeing her last year..

Exploring stones #1

The project I’ve been working on whilst doing my open studio is further exploring stones – the starting point being my existing work from ’The very stones’ series

I’ve been looking at this alongside work of Barbara Hepworth for inspiration. I like the combination of the circles and lines.

Here are a couple of pages from my sketch book that explore this.

I’ve got alot more work to share but I’ll do it bit by bit.

Debbie and Sarah do Christmas

Did most of the setting up today, a great day together and the studio is looking great….here’s us girls getting things done…

….and here’s a sneak peak of what to look forward to….

…see you soon!

Chicken Sketches

Well, I’ve been so busy with Studio 2 that actually making artwork has come to a bit of a halt. I have though decided to make prints of one of my chicken sketches I did whilst developing stencils for my serigraphs.

They are available as a greetings card and un-framed prints. I rather like them!

Pattern Zine 3

I’ve finished putting together Pattern zine 3 today, it did take a bit of time getting it to look right and putting the right patterns together, but here it is…

…and here’s a peep inside…

…they are quite popular with my visitors. One of my customers bought a couple as sketch books.

So here they are 1, 2, 3…

…or 2, 1, 3 – I put them round the wrong way when I photographed them! :-)
